THANET ADVANCED ACADEMY

My Son started the Thanet Advanced Academy when it launched in April. It was only a few months ago and I’m so pleased with his progress. The coaches have helped his confidence grow enormously. The coaching is superb and of high standard, yet really enjoyable for the kids. Rhys has had the opportunity of playing in academy games, which has also helped his confidence and the coaching at these games is outstanding.

ADVANCED ACADEMY

Our Advanced Academy is designed to offer both boys and girls, a platform to take their game to the next level. Our sessions are run by highly qualified and experienced coaches with a background in professional clubs who tailor sessions to the ability of the players, engaging and propelling each age group they are working with.

Our elite structure guides players through weekly sessions to provide the perfect foundation to support, grow and maximise potential. Each term our players will follow professional and structured topics which will give players opportunity to focus on different aspects required to further enhance their performance. We have an emphasis on making all players at our sessions as technically competent as possible. The technical aspect of the game is a key factor in modern day football, and we want each individual to be as comfortable on the ball as possible.

Alongside our weekly sessions, we hold occasional fixtures against local grassroots, elite academies and professional clubs from League 2 to the premier League teams. This gives all the players the opportunity to put what they have learnt in training, into a pressured game situation against some of the best players in the country. Select players from each age group, who we feel are capable of competing against such teams, will be chosen for the professional fixtures.

Since the opening of our first Advanced Academy 4 years ago, we have seen over 12 players progress into professional clubs, through showcasing themselves in Football Futures professional fixtures. Our professional fixtures allow all our players to showcase their ability to these clubs, with the opportunity of being invited in for a trial if they impress the clubs scouts. Our coaches who run the Advanced Academy sessions come from professional backgrounds, with many players being put forward to pro club trials through our extensive contacts if they fit the player profile of that particular club.

TIME: 18:00 – 19:00 for ages U7, U8, U9 & U10

19:00 – 20:00 for ages U11, U12, U13, U14 & U15

PLEASE NOTE THESE SESSIONS ARE INVITE ONLY AND PLAYERS WILL NEED TO HAVE A TRIAL BEFORE BEING ACCEPTED INTO OUR ADVANCED ACADEMY.
